Production Supervisor - Foundry
About the Position
We are seeking a Production Supervisor with experience in green sand foundry operations to lead and support our production team. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing leadership, safety compliance, and team development to ensure production goals are met with high quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day production activities to achieve company goals while maintaining acceptable scrap and waste levels.
Maintain and enforce a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all company policies and OSHA standards.
Develop, coach, and mentor melt personnel while promoting teamwork and accountability.
Oversee and audit 5S+1 workplace organization standards across the department.
Collaborate with scheduling and supply chain teams to ensure materials and resources are available.
Conduct staff performance evaluations, providing feedback and implementing improvement plans.
Apply strong leadership to uphold company rules, regulations, and (if applicable) union agreements. Requirements
Requirements
Hands-on experience in green sand foundry operations (years commensurate with role).
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal casting or heavy industry.
High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree a plus).
Proven problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours as needed to support production schedules.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a green sand foundry.
2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in manufacturing. Benefits
