Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth? America's Community Council (ACC) is looking for a Full-Time Substance Use Prevention Specialist to join our team in Oakland and Wayne County!

What You'll Do

As a Prevention Specialist, you'll play a vital role in empowering at-risk youth through education, support, and proactive programming. Your mission will be to promote healthy, drug- and alcohol-free lifestyles by engaging schools and communities in impactful, evidence-based prevention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and identify new resources.

Plan and lead prevention education sessions using evidence-based curricula.

Maintain fidelity to program timelines and curriculum requirements.

Use tools to evaluate program outcomes and effectiveness.

Collect and analyze data for reporting and continuous improvement.

Submit timely reports as required by program guidelines.

Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Committee and community stakeholders.

Attend professional development trainings and work toward certification.

Support and contribute to the overall success of the prevention program. What We're Looking For

Experience working with at-risk youth and families - required

Strong understanding of adolescent development, group dynamics, and youth issues

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

Confident communicator across diverse settings

Engaging public speaking and facilitation skills

Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities

Highly organized with effective time management
