Position Summary

Bob-Boyd Lincoln is looking for a Mobile Service Technician to join our expanding service team. This role centers around operating a fully equipped Mobile Service Van, delivering scheduled maintenance and recall repairs directly to customers at their homes or workplaces. We're searching for someone with a background in automotive repair, solid interpersonal skills, and a dedication to providing outstanding service in a unique on-the-go setting.

Job Type & Schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Pay: $20–$35 per hour, based on experience and certifications

Work Requirements:

Location: Columbus, OH (in-person role)

Travel: Local driving required

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a personalized, high-quality service experience to each customer

Represent the dealership professionally while interacting with various clients throughout the day

Prepare and organize daily mobile appointments and service calls

Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs based on service orders and OEM standards

Collaborate with the Service Advisors and Parts Department to coordinate scheduling and communication

Accurately log all repairs and services performed using mobile tools and devices

Stay up to date with Ford technical training and service bulletins

Operate and maintain the company-provided Mobile Service Van responsibly

Work in varying weather conditions as needed

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Must be 21 years or older

Ford/Lincoln certifications preferred but not mandatory

Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience

Strong organization and attention to detail

Comfortable using tablets and digital platforms to manage jobs

Excellent verbal communication and a commitment to customer satisfaction

Self-driven, dependable, and able to work without direct supervision
