Shift: Inquire Start Date: 01/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Pay: $1751 / Week Travel Postpartum RN Fusion Medical Staffing Facility in Columbus, Ohio Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Postpartum RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio.

One year’s recent experience as a postpartum RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Summary: The Postpartum Registered Nurse provides specialized, family-centered care to mothers and newborns in the postpartum unit.

This role involves assessing maternal and newborn health, implementing care plans, and supports breastfeeding and educating families on postpartum and newborn care.

The Postpartum RN collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes and demonstrates advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to patient safety and professional ethics.

Explain postpartum and newborn care procedures to mothers and families to gain cooperation, understanding, and alleviate apprehension Assess and monitor the health of postpartum mothers and newborns, identifying changes, addressing complications, and recording significant conditions and reactions Educate new parents on infant care, maternal recovery, and postpartum health, including safe sleep practices and early signs of complications Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and any necessary postpartum or neonatal procedures Document all relevant history and physical assessments for assigned patients accurately in medical records The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.

Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
