Overview

The Executive Protection Officer is responsible for providing discreet, professional close protection and secure-movement services for a high-net-worth principal and their family. This position requires exceptional judgment, advanced planning skills, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic domestic and international environments. The Officer ensures safety and privacy at all times-preserving the principal's comfort, confidentiality, and lifestyle.

Core Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive advance work, including route planning and threat/risk assessments for all movements and venues.

Provide close-proximity personal protection (both static and mobile) in varied environments, maintaining a low profile when appropriate.

Perform thorough security sweeps of residences, vehicles, hotels, and event venues.

Liaise and coordinate with private staff, venue security, law enforcement, and transportation providers to ensure seamless and secure operations.

Maintain continuous situational awareness and respond decisively to any perceived or actual threat while exercising discretion and professionalism.

Maintain impeccable personal presentation, demeanor, and confidentiality at all times.

Document movements, incidents, and after-action reports with accuracy and discretion.

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of assigned equipment, vehicles, and communication tools.

Participate in ongoing training and readiness drills in accordance with organizational and client standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

Minimum 3 years of verifiable close protection experience, preferably supporting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or corporate executives.

Alternatively, proven military or law enforcement background with protective detail assignments.

Current, verifiable professional references (minimum of two).

Valid Florida Class "D" Security License and Class "G" Firearms License.

Valid Florida Concealed Weapons License.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; defensive driving certification preferred.

Ability and willingness to travel internationally for extended periods, often on short notice.

Flexible and adaptive schedule-must be available for nights, weekends, holidays, and rapid deployments as needed.

Clean background check and negative drug screening required.

Medically fit for duty and capable of performing physically demanding tasks when necessary.

High level of discretion, integrity, and emotional intelligence.

First Aid / CPR / AED certification (preferred).

Preferred:

Executive Protection Certification

Protective or evasive driving certifications.

Multilingual capabilities relevant to the principal's travel profile.

Experience operating armored or luxury vehicles.
