Salary Range: $20-22/hour

Our operation includes an anaerobic digester that recycles animal waste and other organic by-products to produce methane gas. This gas is used to power our facility, goes back into the electric grid or scrubbed and converted to natural gas and put in the pipeline. We are one of the most unique waste recycling operations in the United States.

We have an opening for a Lab Technician (Lab Tech). We are seeking candidates that are self-motivated, have critical thinking skills for problem solving, and can work in a team environment.

Position Overview:

The Lab Technician will be responsible for various laboratory techniques and analyses. This role involves preparing and testing samples, documenting processes, and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure the quality, performance and compliance of fertilizer and organic products.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze samples for fertilizer and organic product testing.

Perform routine laboratory tests following standardized procedures.

Document and interpret the results of experiments and tests.

Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.

Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed.

Monitor and manage laboratory supplies.

Communicate findings and observations.

Keep detailed and accurate records of all laboratory activities.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field is preferred.

Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the fertilizer/organic (Ag) industry.

Familiarity with IDEM and EPA regulations is advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Data documentation and interpretation.

Knowledge of safety protocols.

Microsoft Office Suite.

Basic statistical analysis.
