About the role
Exciting new opportunity for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our Asset Services team. You will be responsible for setting the standards, policies, procedures and best practices for all areas
of Control Systems Engineering and ensuring these comply with relevant regulations, codes, external standards and industry guidelines.
The role has the flexibility to be based in either of our national offices in
Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide or Brisbane.
What you’ll be doing
Support the integrity for all areas of Control System Engineering at AGL.
Develop close working relationship with Business Unit Engineering Teams to ensure support and governance is adequately provided.
Support the management of all areas of control systems engineering work across AGL including functional safety, instrumentation, SCADA, hazardous areas, protection and generator compliance.
Develop and review Business Unit Asset Management Plans
Support the Lead Principal Engineer to provide Assurance around Technical standards.
Attend external conferences and ensure knowledge transfer across the business.
About You
This opportunity will suit an individual who has a passion for Engineering and is looking to further their career within a leading organisation. You will be an established Control Systems Engineer with prior experience in the Energy industry. Your passion for functional safety and developing robust standards & procedures will set you up for success in this role.
What you’ll bring to the table
Demonstrated experience in Controls System Engineering
Tertiary degree in Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering as a Chartered Engineer or with eligibility to become chartered.
Broad experience across multiple electrical and control engineering disciplines.
Strong ability to manage and direct Subject Matter Experts in other Control
System Engineering fields.
Keen interest to develop skills as new technologies and focus areas emerge.
Excellent communications and influencing skills across all levels
