Senior IT Consultant(Senior Product Data Specialist- (Clinical Data & Integration) – Public Sector

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – up to 3 days onsite, subject to change)

Contract Term: 8 months to start, with potential for an 8-month extension depending on the needs of the organization

Start Date: January 5th, 2026

Pay Range: $95–$110/hour(depending on the skills and experience)

About the Role

Stafingo is hiring 5 Senior IT Consultants ( Senior Product Data Specialists, Clinical Data & Integration) for one of our public-sector clients in Toronto. These specialists will support multiple provincial digital health initiatives and play a critical role in assessing data conformance, compliance, and quality for clinical data contributed to Ontario’s Electronic Health Record systems.

This is a hybrid contract position requiring on-site presence in Toronto at the hiring manager’s discretion.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a Clinical Data Conformance & Integration Specialist, supporting data contribution and integration projects.

Provide HL7 v2 and FHIR subject matter expertise for conformance testing, validation, and implementation of clinical data into provincial repositories (e.g., ADT, lab, clinical data).

Evaluate data stakeholder interfaces for readiness to contribute to or consume data from provincial clinical data assets.

Manage multiple concurrent work packages and ensure compliance with input specifications and FHIR IGs.

Conduct expert review and validation of data submissions for conformance, compliance, and readiness.

Engage with external stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts during data integration cycles.

Work autonomously while proactively addressing issues and meeting critical deadlines.

Ensure thorough documentation and participation in structured knowledge transfer activities.

Must-Have Qualifications

7+ years delivering electronic health data integration projects or operations.

5+ years working with healthcare sector workflows and systems (HIS, EMR, LIS) and hands-on experience with Integration Engines .

Strong expertise with HL7 v2.x, HL7 v3, FHIR, XML messaging.

Applied knowledge of HL7 conformance and validation tooling (e.g., Caristix, XMLSpy, 7Edit, Postman).

Excellent communication skills for conveying technical conformance and validation requirements.

Proven time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives.

Desired Skills

Deep understanding of clinical workflows and message flows within hospitals and healthcare organizations.

Experience with healthcare systems such as Meditech, Cerner, Epic .

Experience with HL7 CDA, implementation guides, and standards across multiple SDOs.

Familiarity with Pharmacy Management Systems, Diagnostic Viewers, PACS, and related technologies.
