Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Teacher/Administrator to join our family childcare program! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children 12 months to 3 years old.
Responsibilities:
Plans, develops and implements weekly lesson plans that fit the
children’s needs, interests and developmental levels in the program.
Is responsible for all aspects of the appearance and management of
the program showing the children's learning through art.
Maintains the quality of supplies and materials in the program
in a neat and orderly fashion.
Reports any broken or unsafe toys and properly disinfects toys on a regular basis in accordance with the state regulations.
Conducts the program in accordance with Ohio Department of Job and
Family Services (ODJFS) guidelines.
Effectively communicate verbal and written reports to the parents and
maintain a positive relationship.
Monitors and assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the program.
Maintains appropriate teacher/child ratio.
Maintains a safe and fun learning environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
Must be able to pass a BCI and FBI background check
Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
Posses or in the process of completing an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education
Must be able to or interested in obtaining a Child Development - (preferred)
Associate Credential (CDA) - (preferred)
CPR/AED, First Aid, and Communicable Disease and Child Abuse - (preferred)
Familiar with OCCRRA and have trainings completed - (preferred)
Passionate about working with children
Ability to build rapport with children
Positive and patient demeanor
