Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary school students in Columbus, OH, on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). The role focuses on delivering specialized educational instruction tailored to the diverse needs of students with disabilities, ensuring each child receives a supportive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning requirements.

Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive classroom settings.

Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

Provide direct instruction and support to students with a range of disabilities.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and pliance with regulations.

Foster social and emotional development within the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid teaching certification in special education.

Experience working with elementary-aged children in a special education setting.

Strong knowledge of special education laws, policies, and best practices.

Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
