Hospitalist Physician Assistant

Medical Center in southern Alabama is seeking Nurse Practitioners with Acute Care experience to join our robust, rapidly growing Hospitalist team. Competitive Compensation with comprehensive benefits package and $15k sign on bonus included. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year Acute Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner. The current practice includes 30 Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. Average daily census is 15-20 patients per physician provider and 8-10 patients per provider at night. Practice Highlights:

Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers, and in hospital consults

Admit and co-manage with Intensivist support adult patients in critical care

24/7 Pulm/Critical Care support for all CC admissions

Manage patients in Clinical Decision Unit

24 hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of an in-house Radiology physician 24/7

12-hour work shifts, 7p-7a

No call required

7 on/7 off rotation HOSPITAL: One of the largest not-for-profit tertiary referral centers in Alabama serving over 600,000 within a 75-mile radius. Robust IM Hospitalist program provides ED unassigned coverage, care for transfers, and inpatient consults. Interventional cardiology, EP and radiology labs, lithotripsy, 3 MRIs, 3 CTs, and PET Scanner. Pain Management and Physiatry services provided through outpatient clinics on Southeast Health campus.
