Psychiatrist - Developmental Disabilities (DDOD) - Travel Position
Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8 Days
Pay: $7040/week
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total. (You will receive $2,500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)
Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and psychotherapy, to all ages (Adults and children) served by Developmental Disabilities (DDOD) facilities in the Columbus, OH area. This role requires clinical expertise, administrative oversight of medical staff, and ability to manage sensitive situations, including exposure to dangerous patients and infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluates, examines, analyzes, diagnoses, and treats consumers across all ages.
Prescribes medication and performs in-depth psychotherapy and counseling (e.g., psychoanalysis, behavior modification).
Monitors and coordinates professional and paraprofessional medical, nursing, and direct care staff in areas related to psychiatric care.
Reviews consumer records for accuracy and completeness.
Recommends improvements in hospital staffing and organization.
Conducts and participates in lectures and seminars in psychiatry or related fields for professional and paraprofessional health care staff.
Exposed to dangerous patients and infectious diseases.
Requires travel to various DDOD community sites.
Qualifications:
Certificate to practice medicine per Section 4731.13 of the Revised Code (Ohio).
Satisfactory completion of a residency training program in psychiatry as approved by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association/Board OR Recognized as a psychiatrist by the Ohio State Medical Association or Ohio Osteopathic Association based on formal training and 5 or more years of medical practice limited to psychiatry..
Required to meet biannual renewal license requirements of 100 hours of continuing education.
Must have experience working with all ages (Adults/children).
