Psychiatry Manager
Position Summary
The Psychiatry Manager provides operational, educational, and system-level leadership for LLCHC's psychiatry program, working closely with clinical, operational, and senior leadership. This role promotes clinical excellence through evidence-based care, oversees educational initiatives, and builds strategic community partnerships to expand access, recruit patients, and strengthen provider capacity for delivering whole-person care. The Psychiatry Manager oversees recruitment, onboarding, and performance of psychiatric providers.
The Psychiatry Manager, as part of the Psychiatry treatment team, provides Psychiatric clinical oversight and administrative direction to Psychiatry providers. The Psychiatry Manager conducts psychiatric evaluations, makes diagnoses, and prescribes medication and rehabilitative treatment. The Psychiatry Manager role includes 8 hours of protected administrative time each week as part of the standard schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Operational Leadership
Develop and implement strategic plans for psychiatry programs in alignment with organizational goals, productivity and templating metrics, educational initiatives, and strategic growth. Represent psychiatry team in various working groups and committees related to organizational goals.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient, and effective service delivery.
Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate behavioral health services into primary care settings.
Engage with community partners to enhance service accessibility and continuity of care.
Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, provider implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed. Clinical Supervision & Staff Development
Provide clinical supervision and support to psychiatry providers and any psychiatry students.
Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
Oversees psychiatry peer review process in collaboration with CMO and quality team.
Facilitate regular team meetings to promote collaboration and continuous learning.
Develop and deliver training programs for staff on topics related to behavioral and mental health services.
Stays current with advancements in the field and disseminates relevant information to the team.
Mentors staff to foster professional growth and development. Direct Patient Care
Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients.
Manage a caseload of patients, delivering evidence-based integrated care in collaboration with primary care providers.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record system per provider policies. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (APRN-CNP) or Medicine (MD/DO) with a focus on Psychiatry.
Current licensure to practice in the State of Ohio.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry and/or addiction medicine.
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within a healthcare setting.
Demonstrated experience in program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Ability to effectively present information both orally and written to administration, the public and/or Board of Directors.
Ability to work collaboratively as a leader within a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse, underserved, or vulnerable populations.
Must meet credentialing and privileging requirements. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a community health center or similar primary care setting.
Familiarity with EPIC or other EHR systems.
Bilingual (Spanish, Somali, or Arabic) is a plus.
