Salary & Location:

The base salary range for this role is $145,000-$155,000. We are unable to provide H1B sponsorship at this time.

Your Role:

Database Administration: Oversee our MySQL and Postgres database clusters by maintaining the database engine, monitoring performance, and optimizing where necessary. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve database challenges.

Infrastructure Development: Design, build, and maintain our AWS-based infrastructure to support applications and services running on ECS, EKS, and Lambda.

Automation: Create an infrastructure automation platform using TypeScript and Python to streamline AWS resource provisioning, enabling teams to operate independently and effectively.

Mentorship: Guide engineering teams by providing tools, advice, and mentorship for junior engineers to enhance their technical skills.

Support & Reliability: Provide production data support and ensure resilience of cloud applications. Participate in on-call rotations for AWS-related issues and serve as a subject matter expert.

Collaboration: Thrive in a globally distributed agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We Seek:

8+ years of relevant software engineering and cloud development experience, including 4+ years as a DBA preferably in a cloud setting.

Deep knowledge of AWS Aurora MySQL and Postgres administration. Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on collaboration with development teams.

Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure focusing on serverless and containerized solutions, along with proficiency in TypeScript and ideally Python.

Expertise in automation of infrastructure and integration into CI/CD pipelines.

A collaborative team player with robust interpersonal skills and a knack for problem-solving in distributed environments.

Exceptional communication skills for producing clear documentation.

A proactive professional passionate about DevOps methodologies and agile principles.

A bachelor’s degree in fields such as Computer Science, Math, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics is preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $124,200-$192,500 annually. Compensation packages vary based on factors like work location and skills.
