BIM COORDINATOR INTERN

Responsibilities and Duties:

Design & Drafting Support

Assist in creating and updating 2D and 3D BIM drawings for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping).

Support the detailing of construction layouts, schematics, and shop drawings.

Ensure all drawings meet company drafting standards and project specifications.

Revise drawings as directed by BIM Trade Leads, Project Coordinators, or BIM Coordinators

Assist with coordination between mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings to identify potential clashes or conflicts. Learning & Development

Gain an understanding of mechanical construction processes, prefabrication, and field installation.

Learn to interpret design drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and training sessions. Qualifications

Skills & Abilities

Basic proficiency in Revit and Navisworks a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.

Good organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Willingness to learn and apply new technical skills Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
