ICU Nursing Job Details

Assignment Length: 8 weeks

Healthcare Setting: 6-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in an acute care hospital

Nursing Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm), 3 shifts per week, every other weekend required

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930–$2070

Start Date: November 29, 2025

End Date: January 24, 2026

Charting System: Cerner Corporation - MedSeries4

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or ability to obtain temporary CT nursing license quickly

Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification

Current ACLS certification

NIHSS certification

Current Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCIT) certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care to ICU patients in an acute care hospital setting

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding to abnormal patterns with appropriate interventions

Demonstrate expertise in hemodynamic monitoring, equipment troubleshooting, and accurate documentation

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain timely and precise documentation using Cerner MedSeries4

Participate in ongoing nursing education and training
