AI-supported Future Technology Scouting and Roadmapping for Climate-Friendly Aviation
Full-time Fixed-Term
Development, implementation and evaluation of a structured future technology scouting and strategic foresight process, based on multi-agent AI systems in combination with expert interaction in a large real-world research consortium
Scouting of breakthroughs in research and in early development in the domains of energy, materials, sensors, information and communication technologies with step-change innovation potential in aviation
Physical and technical assessment of future technology potentials for climate-friendly aviation
Organization of workshops and supporting material for expert-based technology prioritization
Communication of research results through journal publications, conferences and media channels
You have successfully completed your Master ́s (M.Sc.) degree in either Physics, Technology and Innovation Management, or Computer Science with proven application in technical domains and want to pursue a PhD (with a jointly selected university)
You bring organizational talent in combination with scientific creativity, quantitative analytical skills and programming expertise to our team
You have a strong interest in strategic foresight, future technology analysis and technology roadmapping in aviation
You are familiar with AI tools and frameworks and you have proven that you can work your way into new topics
You are passionate about giving scientific answers to identifying future innovation potentials in aviation
You are interested in multidisciplinary, target-oriented tasks within joint academic or industry projects, combining elements of physical technologies, AI, expert network and innovation management, strategic decision making and techno-economics
You are proficient in German and ideally also in English
