What the position is:
Maintenance Field Trainers conduct classroom and practical training at maintenance bases, and line stations, providing technical knowledge and practical instruction for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft and aircraft systems related to maintenance, ground equipment, tools, and test equipment according to established procedures.
Essential functions:
Develops, facilitates, and delivers state-of-the-art technical training programs, skill practices, reinforcement methods, technical training
Assesses new and tenured technicians to measure progress and evaluate the effectiveness of training and reports on progress within defined training periods
Acts as a Technical Training Consultant for Company to ensure the resolution of critical technical training problems and the development of employee job skills and competencies
Consults with individuals throughout the organization to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and obtain an understanding of changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies that impact training
Continually acquires personal training skills and learning techniques to ensure optimal retention and resources required for productive training presentation and development
Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Performs other duties as assigned
General requirements & qualifications:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
Extensive technical knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance operations, and applicable FAA regulations.
Previous airline or aviation classroom teaching experience preferred.
Basic Computer Skills, especially MS Office suite.
Up to 25% Travel
