FULL TIME CHEF

Salary – $76,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan the menu with the Head Chefs, providing feedbacks and suggesting new offerings based

on established and standard menu, including creating new seasonal offers.

• Estimate food requirements, identifying needed budget for the daily bulk of ingredients,

meat, vegetables, etc.

• Check the ingredients and prep them, assisting the Cooks and Kitchen Hand for pre-service

Requirements.

• Manage assigned food preparation phase/station while delegating work to colleague Cooks

and Kitchen Hand during service hours, especially in peak hours.

• Assist in food preparation, conducting taste test and adjusting them using various seasoning,

garnish, including preparing the sauces and toppings.

• Track food preparation progress, advising on needed measurements and portions to

minimise wastage.

• Maintain service quality pre-service, during service and post-service hours, especially during

peak hours, keeping designated station clean and organised.

• Train and assist Cooks and Kitchen Hands, demonstrating them the proper techniques and

methods of food preparation.

• Follow all sanitation and cleanliness standards, keeping all equipment and tools organised

while enforcing the same to the Cooks & Kitchen Hands.

• Take dietary requirements request from customers and following their serving preference (if

any).

• Account for all ingredients pre-service and post-service, putting them in the proper

storage/shelves or in the freezer.

• Follow all orders from the Head Chefs and enforcing the same to the Cooks and Kitchen

Hands.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Relevant qualification in food cookery & hospitality management

• Two-three years of relevant experience as a Chef
