The DCX Client Services - Home Based Freight Coordinator will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by our client.

The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having a strong attention to detail, ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

Role Details

Industry: Promotions

Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (USA)

Workdays: Monday through Friday (USA)

Written and spoken English skill: Very Proficient

Salary Range: 23,000-30,000

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate all types of shipments with suppliers and vendors: i.e. domestic, international, courier, air, ocean etc. and ensure on time deliveries.

Maintain accurate records of all freight quotes and shipments.

Take ownership of the project and ensure that all costs associated with the transactions remain within budget while meeting strict deadline requirements.

Manage the flow of shipments and goods into their respective destinations and identify appropriate carriers based on cost, time, and security.

Build relationships with freight vendors, suppliers, AEs, and other departments throughout HALO.

Pre-quote shipments for customers.

Ensure all necessary paperwork and labeling for shipments is done accurately and on time.

Work with the Compliance department to ensure that all compliance requirements are met to each destination.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless flow of cargo and information.

Provide reports on freight and shipping activities and maintain tracking metrics.

Additional Job Requirements

Education: College degree in Logistics, Business Analytics, or any related field.

Experience: 1-3 years of freight handler, customer service, logistics management or any related role.

Strong computer and internet skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Highly effective oral and written communication skills.

Desire for follow-up and follow-through on outstanding items.
