Job Description

The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and supermarket rack refrigeration systems across retail facilities. This role ensures optimal equipment performance and safety, supporting smooth store operations.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC/R systems.

Diagnose and repair refrigeration and HVAC issues using digital and manual tools.

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and industry regulations.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, refrigerant usage, and inventory.Essential Skills

Vocational/Technical HVAC/R certification and 2+ years of experience, or 4+ years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

Work involves navigating narrow, confined spaces such as storage areas and mechanical rooms with exposure to varying temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, wet, or drafty conditions. Tasks may require working on rooftops, scaffolding, or in ceiling spaces, and movement over uneven or slippery surfaces, especially during inclement weather. Overnight shifts and varying schedules may be required, with frequent travel between facilities.

The pay range for this position is $98696.00 - $98696.00/yr.
