Medical Staff Coordinator at Providence Oregon Regional Shared Services is 0.5 FTE part time position working during weekdays and weekends on a day shift.

Under the direction of the Director, Quality Management and Medical Staff, or the Program Manager for Medical Staff Services, the Medical Staff Coordinator coordinates all professional staff activities related to credentialing, initial appointments and reappointments, and privileging.

The Coordinator acts in the role of liaison to Professional Staff, Nursing, Quality Management, and Administration with the parameters established by the ministry Quality Directors and Program Managers for Medical Staff Services throughout Oregon Region Quality & Medical Staff Services division.

Required Qualifications: * Coursework/Training: 2 years college or business school coursework.

* Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with healthcare practitioners, all levels of hospital management and with the public.

Preferred Qualifications: * Upon hire: Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Certified Provider Credentialing specialist (CPCS) * 3 years experience as Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist or Coordinator.
