Teacher Aides - Sunshine Children's Home

Duties: Teacher Aides needed to work with students with severe/multiple disabilities in the Pines Bridge at Sunshine program.

The position requires an ability and willingness to assist students in areas such as: managing behavior, lifting and assisting to enable all self-care activities, mobility, communication, therapies, and feedings.

The position is located at Sunshine Children's Home which is governed by the Department of Health.

As a result, candidates will be required to go through a medical clearance process through Sunshine.Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and an equivalent amount of experience and training sufficient to indicate ability to perform the work.Characteristics Desired: Ability to assist students with toileting needs, transfers, feedings, and positively manage student behavior.

Must have good interpersonal skills, be organized, dependable, flexible and have the ability to work in a team environment.
