About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our clients manufacturing team. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials and supplies to ensure production schedules are met efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies required for manufacturing operations.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely material availability.

Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records in ERP systems.

Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing discrepancies.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams on material specifications and requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and cost control strategies is a plus.
