Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Salina, Kansas (67401) – Kansas nursing jobs

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: December 15, 2025

Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00), 3 shifts per week

Hours per Week: 36

Unit: 23-bed Progressive Care / Med-Surg Telemetry (3 Center)

Patient Ratio: 1:5

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (may be every third weekend depending on staffing)

EMR: Meditech (Meditech EMR experience required)

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780–$1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and valid RN license in the state of Kansas

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience

Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)

Experience with Meditech EMR required

Ability to float to Med-Surg, Emergency Department (ED) for inpatient holds, and ICU for PCU/Med-Surg/Tele patients

COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Must reside at least 100 miles from facility

References required

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 23-bed progressive care/Med-Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage post-op cardiac and step-down patients

Administer medications, blood products, and manage central/PICC lines

Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and manage feeding tubes

Respond to rapid response calls and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, etc.)

Float as needed to Med-Surg, ED (for inpatient holds), and ICU (for PCU/Med-Surg/Tele patients)

Document all patient care in Meditech EMR

Participate in self-scheduling and work every other (or every third) weekend as required
