Demand Forecaster

The Demand Forecaster is responsible for creating store, sku level forecasts. This role performs analysis of both historical and current selling patterns, helping to predict store demand and drive supply chain decisions. Demand Forecasters seek to find meaningful patterns in customer behavior based off product attributes, sales trends, and store characteristics. The Demand Forecaster reports to the Manager of Demand Forecasting.

Responsibilities

Create accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors, using RELEX.

Analyzes store performance and provide insights that may influence future business decisions.

Manage promotions, local events, and Holidays and their impact on a store’s behavior.

Establish strong working relationships with key partners including Inventory, Merchandising, Real Estate and Store Operations.

Actively pursue growth and development opportunities, continually finding ways to improve.

2+ years of related work experience in retail planning, allocation, buying, and/or finance.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Intermediate Excel skills. Knowledge of Power Pivot is a plus.

Comfortable working with large amount of data.

Organized with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-starter who can work independently producing accurate work.

Basic understanding of retail principles and forecasting methodologies.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
