Senior HR Generalist

Key Responsibilities
Must have advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources administration, knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of human resources management
Responsible for maintaining the business relationship with management and leadership including relationship management, communication, staff direction and motivation
Ability to create and maintain a collaborative team and work environment; to build relationships and effectively work with all levels of employees
Plan and execute team building activities and employee engagement initiatives
Responsible for coaching managers and employees through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
Demonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities while remaining calm and controlled
Works in partnership with Accounting for all HR systems data entry and monthly payroll practices
Monitor the absence management system (edays) and keep information up to date, including leave entitlements. Follow up with Line Managers on long-overdue approvals. Review regional Public Holiday dates when announcements are made and update the system accordingly
Plan administrator for all employee benefits and manages the immigration process for all types of visas
Supporting in the recruitment process of new employees (research, interviews, offer letter, employment contracts, and onboarding)
Must have good knowledge of internet sourcing strategies and direct sourcing techniques
Develop and maintain sound relationship with local recruitment firms/ head hunters to source the right talent
Establish strategies to align with Emiratisation goals
Good knowledge of local labour law
Ensuring data quality regarding our HR master data strategy
Analyzing existing HR processes, optimizing them if necessary and helping to drive the HR digitalization strategy
Serving as the regional/local contact person for our employees on all HR-relevant topics, such as employee interviews of any kind, recruiting topics, or onboarding and offboarding of employees
Contributing to global HR projects as well as maintaining close cooperation with other departments, such as Legal and Compliance, deugro group ACADEMY and Sustainability
Promote the mental wellbeing tool in our viva engage channel by sharing specific resources, personal experiences or (anonymous) success stories/testimonials
Promote the tool (currently OpenUp) in local branches by sharing upcoming events, creating engagement of the OpenUp viva engage channel or organizing mini campaigns highlighting the platform
Encourage colleagues to use OpenUp / team managers to remind their team about the resources during check-ins or team meetings
Support the sustainability team in any initiatives around mental health and wellbeing, such as actively promoting surveys to collect feedback
Skills, knowledge, and expertise
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
Minimum of 8 years’ of experience in human resources
Be the point of contact for all local payroll topics
Detailed understanding of HR operations processes and record of implementation of process improvement
Demonstrated knowledge in recruiting related topics, like HR marketing, proactive research, interview methods, candidate management etc.
Expertise in employee development, project management, and HR strategy aligned with business goals
Strong ability to respond to quickly changing demands and priorities
Hands-on experience with global HRIS systems and HR operations in international, multicultural environments
Broad understanding of local employment laws, regulations, and contract requirements
Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and business process-driven mindset
Proven people management and interpersonal skills
Ability to build effective relationships at all levels
Flexible, committed, and a strong team player in every aspect
Strong proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to read, understand, and analyze contract requirements
Proficient in English and the local language, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
