How you will make an impact:

The Quality Director, you will lead the strategic direction and execution of Crane Currency’s quality initiatives, championing a culture of quality across the organization. You will ensure that systems, processes, and behaviors align with business standards, customer expectations, and continuous improvement principles. Overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS), in-process quality assurance, and quality engineering, you will drive the development and execution of the Quality Improvement Plan with a strong focus on prevention, early detection, and effective correction of quality and process issues.

Drive a shift in Quality culture by promoting ownership, accountability, and excellence through training, coaching, and leadership engagement.

Promote employee engagement and involvement in built-in Quality, problem-solving methodologies, and Quality Improvement initiatives across all functions and levels.

Develop, update, and improve the QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.

Manage internal and external audit programs, ensuring readiness and compliance.

Oversee quality control activities during banknote production to ensure product conformity.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes for quality issues.

Drive cross-functional improvement projects focused on built-in quality, prevention, detection, and correction.

Partner with R&D, Design, Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.

Strong knowledge of ISO standards, management system frameworks, and regulatory compliance.

Proven leadership in lean methodologies and cultural change initiatives.

Minimum 5 years of experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, and Six Sigma

Preferred:

Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent

Lean Manufacturing Certification
