Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401

Assignment Type: Travel RN

Healthcare Setting: Trauma Surgical Unit (Med/Surg Telemetry)

Start Date: January 5, 2026

End Date: April 5, 2026

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Nursing Shift: 12 Hour Nights (19:00-07:00)

Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1720 - $1840 per week

Dress Code: Solid Navy Scrubs

Parking: On-site parking available

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Associate degree in Nursing or higher

Active Alabama RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license (no temporary licenses)

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification or Red Cross BLS

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (18 months considered with at least 1 year in Med/Surg Telemetry specialty)

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Ability to work every other weekend and holidays

RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to trauma, surgical, orthopedic, and urology patients

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team including physicians, hospitalists, and surgical specialists

Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio for optimal patient care

Float to other units and hospitals as needed to support clinical operations

Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR

Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
