Provide technical support for computer Distribution Management Systems (DMS) or Energy Management Systems (EMS) or Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and other technical infrastructure used in Distribution/Transmission Operations centers.
Position requires a high degree of adaptability, a focus on meeting customer needs, and continuous improvement in the supported systems.
Job Description We have two open positions based out of New Albany, OH, Corpus Christi, TX, Shreveport.
What You'll Do: * Build and maintain DMS/EMS/SCADA models and custom DMS/EMS/SCADA one-line displays.
Perform modeling and point-to-point commissioning of Remote Terminal Units.
Troubleshoot database issues and provide support for System Operators and field personnel to maintain reliable operation of the SCADA system.
* Define and make recommendations to implement internal DMS/EMS/SCADA standards.
Keep DMS/EMS/SCADA tools up-to-date with current technologies.
Define and implement Human Performance Initiative rules and Key Performance Indicators around SCADA processes.
* Complete assigned project work with limited supervision.
Provide support/guidance or assist in providing support to less qualified Analysts on problem resolution.
Train lower-level Analysts in specific equipment and software support activities.
* Able to identify issues with processes and tools and provide possible solutions and provide input to more seasoned personnel.
Assist higher level team members with project scheduling and coordination.
What We're Looking For: SCADA Analyst (SG-6): ($73,828 - $92,284) Education requirements are listed below: Associate degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related technical field; or high school diploma and two years related military or electric utility technical experience.
Work Experience requirement listed below: Two (2) year DMS/EMS/SCADA experience with Associate's degree and four (4) years of experience with a high school diploma.
Individuals with a Bachelor's Degree with no DMS/EMS/SCADA experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
In addition to the DMS/EMS/SCADA experience noted above, detailed knowledge is required in one (1) of the following areas: Application development, Operating System support, Computer system administration, Database technologies and support.
SCADA Analyst (SG7): ($86,783 - $108,840) Education requirements are listed below: Associates Degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related technical field; or high school diploma and two years related military or electric utility technical experience.
Work Experience requirement listed below: Four (4) years DMS/EMS/SCADA experience with Associates Degree and Six (6) years of experience with a high school diploma.
Individuals with a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of DMS/EMS/SCADA experience may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
In addition to the DMS/EMS/SCADA experience noted above, detailed knowledge is required in two of the following areas: Application development, Operating System support, Computer system administration, Database technologies and support.
