What You Will Do at ODM: Office: Chief of Staff Bureau: Human Resources Classification: Human Capital Management Manager (PN 20102578) Job Overview: The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits professional to direct the implementation of payroll and benefits processing, absence management, and wellness initiatives.

As the Payroll & Benefits Manager, your responsibilities will include: * Supervising payroll and benefits staff.

* Assisting agency management staff with payroll, absence management issues, and providing technical assistance.

* Advising payroll and benefits staff on complex Payroll, Disability, FMLA, Health Benefits, and Wellness questions/issues.

* Assisting agency managers and staff with timekeeping issues.

* Managing bi-weekly payroll processing, including system interfacing from Kronos to OAKS.

* Coordinating health and wellness events (e.g.

health fairs, flu clinics, biometric screenings). * Providing oversight of timekeeping and payroll issues and auditing payroll entries to ensure compliance.

* Interpreting human resources policies and rules and providing technical advice regarding Ohio Administrative Code (OAC), Ohio Revised Code (ORC), Federal Rules and Regulations (e.g.

ADA, FMLA). 4 yrs.

* Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 24 mos.

in human resources which included 12 mos.

in supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.

* Or 12 mos.
