Shift: Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 36 hours/week, weekend rotations

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570–$1610 per week

Patient Population: Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Unit Size: 7 beds, average daily census of 27

Scrub Color: Wine

On-Call: No

Orientation: 16 hours (includes modules)

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required

Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable)

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association; TNCC preferred

Expertise in rapid assessment, triage, trauma management, and advanced life support

Proficient in IV access and emergency interventions

Provide at least 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years

Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required

First-time travel nurses not accepted

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in the ER

Perform rapid assessments, triage, and manage trauma and medical emergencies

Initiate and manage advanced life support measures

Establish IV access and perform emergency interventions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary

Accurately document all patient care activities

Participate in weekend rotations as scheduled
