Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with Siemens MRI and Epic documentation experience for a newly opened outpatient oncology center. Responsibilities
Position is based in a newly opened outpatient oncology center
Work with state-of-the-art MRI scanners, CT scanner, X-ray unit, and C-arm equipment
Serve a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
Primary responsibilities include performing MRI scans and related procedures
Shifts are primarily 4x10 days (8:30 AM - 7:00 PM), with potential for some 5x8 days (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) to cover vacations
Duties include conducting IV starts, obtaining vitals, and screening patients for MRI safety
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory
Epic is used for documentation
Comprehensive training on facility protocols provided
All candidates must comply with urgent fingerprinting requirements for Ohio
RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract
Locals are accepted at the same rate
Former employees are eligible if absent from the facility for at least 6 months
Current employees are not eligible for travel positions at Ohio State University locations Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience in outpatient or hospital setting
Current BLS certification and ARRT registration required
Advanced ARRT certification preferred
Experience with Siemens MRI equipment is required
Proficiency in IV starts, phlebotomy, PACS, and contrast administration
Experience with Epic EMR is required
Familiarity with MRI procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion, and perfusion imaging
Knowledge of MRI techniques such as gradient echo and spin echo imaging, T-1 and T-2 weighted images
Submission requires 2 professional references, with at least 1 from a supervisor or manager
OH state license preferred but not required for submission; license required if applicable Benefits
