Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for a Software Engineering Manager for our Columbus, Ohio location.

Responsibilities

Accountable for leading and managing a team of software engineers across multiple delivery teams, providing mentorship to enhance skills and career development, and conducting regular performance evaluations.

Sets clear goals and objectives for the software engineering team, aligned with the product roadmap and organizational objectives.

Collaborates with cross functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.

Oversees the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software projects.

Stays updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, incorporating them into the team’s workflow when applicable.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience leading software application delivery teams.

Experience with modern software design principles (e.g., microservices, API-first architecture, cloud-native development, CI/CD, and secure coding practices).

Proficiency in object-oriented programming concepts and languages (C# preferred).

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar RDBMS.

Experience in DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), automated testing, and monitoring

Experience building and maintaining web and mobile applications using the Microsoft stack, including C#/.NET Core and Azure, is preferred.

Experience with emerging software delivery trends (e.g. low-code/no-code platforms, AI-native development) is preferred.Additional Information:

This is a fully on-site position reporting to the office Monday through Friday.
