Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment

Location: Dubuque, IA 52001

Healthcare Setting: 5 Medical - North (Medical/Surgical Unit)

Employment Type: Travel Nursing

Start Date: February 2, 2026

End Date: May 4, 2026

Assignment Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Nights, 6:30pm – 6:30am

Hours per Week: 36

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020

Patient Ratios: 1:5

Scrubs: Grey, solids

EMR System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Iowa RN license required

Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Med/Surg, IMCU, PCU, or Stepdown nursing

Proficient in caring for patients with Stroke (Neuro), CAPD, Congestive Heart Failure, COVID-19, and Cardiovascular conditions

Experience with EPIC EMR system

Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS

Updated work history/resume and completed skills checklist (within 1 year)

One recent supervisory performance evaluation/reference (within last 2 years)

Proof of taxable address (driver's license, utility bill, lease, etc.)

Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to medical and surgical patients in a hospital setting

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans

Monitor, assess, and document patient status and clinical progress

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

Educate patients and families on care procedures and recovery processes

Ensure accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR

Participate in unit activities and foster a positive team environment
