We have a great opportunity for a Technical Services Manager to lead the hard FM and delivery within the UPP portfolio at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) across 12 sites, ensuring all hard FM services are delivered to the company, statutory, and legislative standards.
Working closely with the Residence Director to further develop and implement processes to aid successful and efficient delivery of the Service Level Agreements, Facilities Management contract, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Schedule and Annual Sinking Fund requirements.
Providing specialist advice and guidance to the operational team on technical matters, work in conjunction with the Sinking Fund team in respect of lifecycle works, the central Technical Team and Health and Safety team to ensure a skilled approach is taken on all aspects of service delivery and asset management.
Plus promoting best practice regarding environmental matters and support the sites to achieve required utilities and carbon reduction targets, contributing to UPP and Nottingham Trent University's broader sustainability strategies and targets.
This is a permanent full-time position working 37.5 hours per week 9am–5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is circa.£60,000 per annum.
This highly technical role requires you to be City and guilds accredited, Authorised Person Mechanical – Pressure systems or equivalent, OR City and guilds accredited, Authorised Person LV Electrical or equivalent. Along with already working in a technical FM role managing multi-skilled technical teams and gained experience in building services and hard FM delivery.
We are looking for to have a good understanding of health and safety, with the ability to manage maintenance services in a safe manner, and be familiar with CAFM systems, BMS, smart building technology and data-led FM.
You will lead by example; able to effectively lead, motivate and develop technical teams. Along with having an analytical mindset, problem solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A driving licence is required, and you will need to be prepared to work (with notice) additional hours when needed, especially during the busy main student arrival and departure weekends.
