Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Sewline Inspector/Stacker for our Monticello, AR plant.

Functional Responsibilities

Effectively work with other associates in the department to promote team spirit.

Stack finished bags in a box or onto pallets.

Maintain correct counts or number of bags per unit.

Perform quality checks via Quality Monitor.

Responsible for work quality, quantity, housekeeping, waste and safety of machine.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Inspect and ensure all aspects of quality of bag as the bag moves along the conveyor; flip through and turn the bags visually examining per run speed.

Functional Requirements

Calibrated tape measure.

Scissors.

Qualifications

High School diploma or G.E.D. minimum

Skills

Minimum of five (5) days on-the-job training.

Must be able to communicate in an effective and respectful manner.

Ability to read, comprehend and understand a manufacturing order.

Must be able to identify defective or poor-quality bags.

Required to know all aspects of bag as bag is conveyed down the conveyor belt; ensure consistency of skip stitch, soft ends properly cut; examine and inspect for bad input.
