Industrial Paint Technicians/Auto Body Painters

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring experienced Industrial Paint Technicians and Auto Body Painters for a facility that builds modules for data centers in the Minden, La. area. New paint booths will need to be completed by this December. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, working day shifts. May have to work every other Saturday when needed. These are temp-to-permanent positions for those seeking long-term work. Weekly pay by direct deposit.fb

Starting pay is $13 - $28.60/hour depending on experience. No per diem is offered.

Job Duties:

• Spray gun painting

• Paint large metal buildings, doors, and metal parts consistently and accurately without dry streaks/ runs, or sags with an airless sprayer.c cc sss svcvd

• Sand, prep, and clean all materials that require painting.

• Applying base coats, clear coats, and other finishes using spray guns and other specialized tools.

• Mix paints as per specifications.

• Maintaining and cleaning painting equipment and ensuring proper storage of hazardous materials

Job Requirements:

* Some paint experience is preferred regarding the application of all types of paint using brush, roller, cup, spray guns, pressure pot spray equipment, airless spray equipment, and be able to fully use, clean, and maintain all paint equipment.

* Able to stand on concrete 100% of the time.

* Job involves twisting, turning, reaching, bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, and holding arms at shoulder height for an extended period of time.

* Ability to lift long and awkward parts weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during the day.

* Mechanical aptitude

* Authorized to work in the USA.c

* High school diploma or GED

* Pass a phone interview and face-to-face interview before being hired.

* Some candidates may have to pass a paint test before being hired.

* Reliable transportation to get to work.

* Will need to pass a criminal background check and drug screen before being hired.
