About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Site Services team at Essity’s Prudhoe site in Northumberland—home to household brands like Cushelle and Velvet. This is more than just maintenance. It’s a chance to be part of a high-performing team supporting the core infrastructure of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You’ll work with advanced systems, contribute to continuous improvement projects, and play a key role in ensuring operational excellence. Reporting to the Site Services Leader, you’ll collaborate with mechanical and electrical technicians to manage and enhance the site’s utilities and infrastructure. From day-to-day operations to long-term projects, your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of our production environment.

This is a permanent, day-based role (Monday to Friday)—ideal for someone who values work-life balance while still being challenged professionally.

What You Will Do

Site Utilities Maintenance: Ensure reliable electrical supply to site utilities and maintain electrical systems across buildings and offices.

Contractor Management: Scope work, request quotes, create permits, and oversee contractors delivering site maintenance and improvement tasks.

Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out routine, preventative, and reactive electrical maintenance to support production operations.

Infrastructure Support: Contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of site infrastructure, including lighting, alarm systems, and fire protection systems.

Maintenance Methodology Improvement: Support initiatives to improve maintenance practices and methodologies across the site.

Daily Prioritisation: Flexibly respond to operational needs, prioritising tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Compliance & Safety: Uphold safety standards and ensure legal compliance in all electrical maintenance activities.

Who You Are

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) is desirable, but high competency in electrical installation and maintenance is essential.

Proven experience working with contractors in an industrial environment.

Skilled in electrical systems including fixed wiring inspections, lighting, alarm systems, and fire protection.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP.

A strong communicator with a flexible, results-driven mindset who thrives under pressure and adapts quickly to changing priorities.

What We Can Offer You

Our purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-being, provides meaning to everything we do. Join us to improve well-being for people and drive positive change for society and the environment. At Essity, you'll feel valued, empowered to grow, and challenged to achieve business results in a collaborative and open atmosphere.
