Description:

Our client plays a crucial role in supplying essential medical products to Victoria’s public health system. They are now seeking an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to lead operations at their major distribution centre in Melbourne’s west.

This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, complex and highly regulated environment. You’ll oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, lead a large workforce, drive performance, and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of critical healthcare products.

What you’ll be doing

Lead and develop DC Team Leaders and frontline staff

Oversee all warehouse functions — inbound, storage, inventory, pick/pack, dispatch & transport

Drive a strong safety-first culture and ensure WHS and regulatory compliance

Monitor operational KPIs including DIFOT/OTIF, accuracy and throughput

Lead continuous improvement, lean initiatives and process optimisation

Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance WMS/ERP and supply chain performance

Manage budgets, resources and operational reporting

Support business growth and service excellence across the network

What you bring

5+ years’ leadership experience in FMCG, Retail, 3PL or healthcare distribution

Strong end-to-end supply chain knowledge and experience managing large warehouse teams

Proven background in safety, compliance and quality environments

Highly effective communicator with strong stakeholder and change-leadership capability

Experience with Tier 1 WMS systems (advantageous)

A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to lead through change

Strong planning, organisational and decision-making skills
