Travel Nursing Job Details

Healthcare Setting: On-Site, Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit

Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (3 shifts per week)

Estimated Weekly Salary: $1550 - $1660 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Ohio or compact state)

BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Med/Surg nursing job

Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission

Develop and implement individualized care plans with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record

Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning

Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing staff

Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and safety protocols

Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care

Contribute to team building and a supportive work environment

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for nursing professionals
