Quality Engineer Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $69,000 - $103,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for non-conformances.

Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer requirements.

Monitor key quality metrics, analyze data, and report on product and process performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including FMEAs, control plans, and PPAP submissions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, supply chain) to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage supplier quality, including supplier audits, non-conformance resolution, and performance monitoring.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).

Demonstrated expertise in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and 8D problem-solving.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on product quality.

Ability to apply statistical methods for data analysis, process control, and continuous improvement.

Excellent root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) skills.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Familiarity with specific industry regulations (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, AS9100, IATF 16949)
