Summary

†Department: Surgical Unit 2T

Shift timing: Night Shift 18:45-07:15 Hours Monday to friday

Per Week: 36 Hours.

This department is a 22 unit, serving Medical/Surg adult patients and does have telemetry capability.

Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6 on days and 1:6-7 on nights.

Care for patients pre and post surgery and patients on heparin and lasix drips.

The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator.

Additional Support Mon-Thur includes a Clinical Supervisor on days and nights.

Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetRoles & Responsibilities

†Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
