Station Controllers: London Gatwick Airport

What you will be doing...

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Station Control team at our 14th UK base, London Gatwick Airport!

Our Station Control team are responsible for monitoring the safe and efficient turnaround of Jet2.com flights on the ground. By proving leadership, guidance and and supervision to the Dispatch team on shift, our Station Controllers plays a pivotal role in driving forward both our on time performance and our safety first culture.

What will you do in the role?

Supervise and lead the Dispatch Team on shift, overseeing daily work and flight allocation.

Acting as the main point of contact between the operational control centre, Front of House, Flight Deck, and all third party service providers.

Carry out pre-shift preparation including confirmation of all pre-flight checks and the coordination of all turnarounds across the shift.

Ensure the completion of accurate and timely post flight reports.

Responsible for upholding the legal requirements for a safe and correct turnaround with regards to hold baggage and cargo procedures

Provide guidance and effective response to programme disruption and flight delays.

This is a varied and fulfilling role with a focus on operational responsibility. This position involves working on a rostered shift basis and requires flexibility to support our flight programme. Shifts will cover our 24/7 operation and will include working weekends and bank holidays.

What are the key skills/experience you'll already have?

The successful candidate will already be demonstrating Role Model behaviours and will be an ambassador for the Jet2 brand and ethos.

You will have a strong background in aviation, with an in-depth understanding of load control and aircraft weight and balance.

Extensive aircraft dispatch/turnaround experience is essential for this role

You will ideally have previous people or team supervisory experience in a similar environment.

For this role, you must hold a full UK Driving Licence and be able to pass a Medical, administered by the airport.
