We are seeking excellent educators who can provide high-quality instruction and build authentic, supportive relationships with students.

Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the probationary position of ENL Teacher effective January 5, 2026 at Westorchard Elementary School.

Note: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: * Teach students how to speak, listen, read and write in English and how to comprehend spoken English for those students who speak another language(s) (i.e.

Spanish, Mandarin, etc.) * Administer diagnostic and state mandated assessments of English Language Learners.

* Evaluate, determine goals for, and track progress of individual English language learners, and communicate with faculty, students and families.

* Provide direct ENL instruction to small groups of students and/or provide inclusion support for ELLs in various elementary and middle school grade levels.

* Advise teachers on modifying/accommodating curriculum for ENL students and share best practices to ensure high quality instruction.

* Knowledge of the workshop and gradual release models.

* Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping and reporting as required by district procedures and applicable regulations.

* Fosters a positive and inclusive classroom environment that prioritizes the social and emotional well-being of students and nurtures a sense of belonging.

* Implements evidence-based social-emotional learning strategies to promote emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of the RULER approach is preferred.

* Utilizes current educational research to inform instructional practices, ensuring lessons are grounded in evidence-based methods.

* Implements formative assessments regularly to gauge student understanding.

* Incorporates formative and summative data analysis into lesson planning to tailor instruction and address individual learning needs.

* Infuses culturally relevant practices into curriculum design, ensuring that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students.

* Integrates diverse perspectives and voices into instructional materials and resources to broaden students' understanding of the world.

* Engages in regular, collaborative professional development to enhance collective knowledge and skills, reinforcing the idea that the team's efficacy is greater than individual efforts alone.

* Uses NYS standards as a foundation for setting clear learning goals and expectations for students, providing a roadmap for their academic progress.

Certification/Experience: * New York State Certification - TESOL * Successful prior ENL teaching experience This position includes a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and extensive opportunities for professional development and mentor support.

Salary Range: $71,728 - $151,806
