Mechanical Assembler / Brazer

- permanent position – DAYS** – up to $34/hr to start dep. on exper.

** Monday to Thursday (6:00am to 3:00pm) ; Friday (6:00am to 12:00pm)

LOCATION: Scarborough, Ontario

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• Minimum 1 year of brazing experience

• Proficient at repairs and troubleshooting

• Able to read blueprints and assembly drawings

• Able to lift 30 lbs

• Knowledge of various hand and power tools

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, doing repetitive tasks

• Able to multi-task and prioritize workloads

• Good attendance record

• Able to effectively communicate with colleagues and Supervisor

Requirements:

• Assembling custom equipment using hand tools under minimum direction from Supervisor

• Correctly read and interpret assembly drawings and piping and instrumentation diagrams

• Effectively set up a workstation and assemble product within expected times while minimizing scrap and rework

• Effectively braze and fit pipe together based on assembly drawings

• Effectively insulates equipment on custom units

• Comply with all safety regulations and work in a safe manner

• Maintain mechanical equipment in the department

• Perform duties in a timely manner

• Other duties as they may be assigned
