Our client, a Toronto-based mining company, is fully financed and permitted to begin development of its high-potential gold projects in Latin America. As Chief Operating Officer, you will play a critical leadership role—starting with the Oxide resource and advancing towards the development of the significantly larger Sulphide deposit.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the engineering, construction, and operational ramp-up of the Oxide resource project.

Oversee development strategies for the Sulphide deposit, ensuring long-term planning is integrated from the outset.

Mitigate risks and manage challenges common to mining operations in Latin America.

Provide technical and financial leadership, ensuring optimal project execution and ROI.

Support the CEO with investor and stakeholder relations, including presentations and conference appearances as needed.

Foster a high-performance culture aligned with safety, sustainability, and community engagement.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Seasoned mining engineer with at least 15+ years of progressive experience in gold mining operations.

Proven track record in mine construction, commissioning, and optimization in Latin America.

Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) with strong cross-cultural communication skills.

Deep understanding of mine development risks, financial structuring, and permitting.

Demonstrated ability to bring added value at the executive level—strategic, operational, and financial.

Collaborative leader with a strong business acumen and stakeholder management experience.
