Role
As a middle school teacher, you will work with children aged 10 to 14 (Grades 5 to 8). Your primary responsibility will be to teach reading, writing, grammar, literature, speaking, and listening. Beyond academics, you are expected to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that nurtures students’ growth while ensuring their safety, patience, and care.
Responsibilities
• Commit to being a lifelong learner by adopting innovative teaching practices for the benefit of your students.
• Prepare annual, lesson, and daily plans that are engaging, creative, and effective.
• Design and assign homework, projects, and assessments to reinforce learning.
• Develop and organize classroom resources to support instruction.
• Attend professional development sessions to enhance teaching methods and curriculum knowledge.
• Maintain comprehensive records of each student’s academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development.
• Actively participate in staff meetings and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Correct student assignments regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate inventories of textbooks and learning materials issued to students.
• Meet with parents to share feedback on their child’s performance and progress.
• Support students in overcoming learning challenges and encourage their academic growth.
• Identify emotional, intellectual, or physical issues that may hinder learning and address them appropriately.
• Maintain discipline while fostering positive behavior and respect among students.
• Consult with school administration to support struggling students.
• Approach every situation with patience, understanding, and flexibility.
• Inspire curiosity and motivation through enthusiastic lesson delivery.
• Treat students with respect and instill the value of respecting others.
• Follow the guidelines provided by the Language Coordinator diligently.
• Create and manage a caring, purposeful, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Uphold professionalism while remaining approachable and compassionate at all times.
Desired Profile
• Graduate/Postgraduate in English Language and Literature with B.Ed (preferred).
• Experience teaching CBSE curriculum at primary/middle school level.
• Passion for working with young learners in a residential school environment.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and ability to inspire curiosity.
