Metal Fabricator (Full time)

Location: 72 Stacey Street, Bankstown NSW, 2200

Salary $90,000 to $110,000 plus superannuation

Bright Balustrading is a family-owned business, we specialize in custom-fabricated balustrades, and our unique industry position has landed to us supporting some of Sydney’s biggest projects. We are looking for a full time Metal fabricator who can work independently on construction projects sites.

Duties:

• studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.

• selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock. cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines.

• shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering.

• aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments

• joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

• examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

• finishing and cleaning products.

Requirements:

- 2 Years of work experience in similar role.

- Must have white card

- Ability to solve problems with technical skills

- Effective communication skills

- Willingness to travel across various sites in Sydney Metropolitan

- Willing to work longer hours, weekend and public holidays as directed by the management
