Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Texas

Employment Type: Full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Total Hours Per Week: 35–40 hours per week

Duration of Contract: New School Year 2025–26 Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buildings, classrooms, and equipment

Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems

Assist with setup and breakdown for school events and special activities

Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with health and safety standards

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies

Perform basic carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep as needed

Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools

Collaborate with administrative and custodial staff to ensure facilities are well maintained

Report and document maintenance activities, repairs, and safety concerns Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred

Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems

Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow safety protocols at all times
